Why health & fitness?
"Sport has always been such an important part of my life in keeping me healthy and strong but more so in keeping me happy. At the age of eight my passion for fitness began when I told my dad I wanted to give up playing piano so I could go and race BMX bikes. After watching how exciting it was to see my brothers training, racing and getting trophies, playing piano just didn't seem like fun!
In my last years of high school I decided to quit BMX and focus on studying. This loss of activity combined with the same diet I was eating as a sportsperson meant I started to put on some extra kilos that I had never experienced before. Over the following years, through a mix of gym efforts, various sports, silly diets and overtraining, my weight went up and down like a yo-yo.
After working as a salesperson in the years following high school I decided that fitness was still the thing I was most passionate about. That was in 2005 and I've been working as a personal trainer ever since. The thing I love about this progressive industry is that you never stop learning and improving upon your skill-set. Being able to share my experiences has also helped me to have a much deeper understanding when working with clients"
